WHAT IS MEASURE V?
Following input from over 1,000 residents, the Mt. SAC Board of Trustees unanimously placed the MT. SAN ANTONIO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT SAFETY, REPAIR, CAREER TRAINING, AFFORDABLE EDUCATION MEASURE on the November 5th ballot to upgrade our local community college.
YES on V increases opportunities for local students get job training to enter our local workforce or earn college credits to transfer to a four year university.

Q: How does YES on V help local families?
A: Yes on V saves local students and families thousands of dollars by offering an affordable alternative to the skyrocketing cost of four-year universities. YES on V increases opportunities for local students to earn certifications, job skills and college credits at a reasonable price prior to transferring to a four-year university.
Q: What needs does our local community college -- Mt. SAC -- have?
A: Some buildings at Mt. SAC are over 80 years old and need basic improvements. YES on V removes asbestos, repairs leaky roofs and deteriorating restrooms and plumbing, improves handicapped accessibility, protects drinking water, and updates the storm water system to prevent water pollution, replaces outdated electrical and air-conditioning systems and upgrades security and fire safety systems campus-wide.
Q: Is Measure V Accountable?
A: 100%! Measure V includes strict fiscal safeguards including annual financial and performance audits and public disclosure of how funds are used. By law, no money from Measure V will go to administrators’ salaries or pensions, and all money will be spent locally and cannot be taken by Sacramento. EVERY PENNY OF MEASURE V MUST BE ACCOUNTED FOR.
